Equation1 is a Nigerian contemporary gospel music duo composed of siblings Ikechukwu David Ugwu and Ukamaka Faith Ugwu, popularly known as Iyke David and Ukay .
Iyke David and Ukay have made their mark in the gospel music scene as music ministers and recording artistes who perform at church and corporate events.
Before the formation of the Equation1 Music Team in 2012, the duo were part of a gospel music group called ”Genesis” which they also formed in 2012. Their debut single, “Chukwu Idi Nma “, a traditional dancehall groove was released under Genesis.
They rebranded in 2017 and changed their name to Equation1, they released their second single in July 2018 titled ”Winner”, an Afro pop music piece which showcased their remarkable talent and released ”Na you be God” that same year.
Equation1 has become one of Nigeria’s fast rising gospel music duo. They have announced the release of their debut album ”The Revelation Album” to arrive on the 16th of May 2019.The talented sibling-duo has revealed the official cover, release date and tracklist for the upcoming album.
The revelation is a 10-track collection filled with new songs of praise and worship. It will be available for free download.
