The Social media has been agog in the past few weeks over the alleged rape scandal which involved the ‘swagalicious’ senior pastor of Commonwealth of Zion Assembly and wife of a popular musician Busola Dakolo, who is a mother of three.

Biodun Fatoyinbo

Several opinions and rumours has been raised over the issue. The public is divided into two factions or can we say three factions. One side for Busola’s supporters, another for the pastor’s supporter and the other for the undecided ones.

The Abuja CAN Chairman, Rev. Jonah Samson and his North Central counterpart, Rev. Israel Akanji, last Sunday visited COZA.

The leaders pledged to stand by Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo, who was accused of rape by Mrs. Busola Dakolo and a staff of COZA.

However, a statement signed on Tuesday by CAN’s National Director of Legal and Public Affairs, Evangelist Barrister Kwamkur Samuel Vondip, said the pastors who had visited the church were on their own and that the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria had step up a panel to investigate the rape allegation against Pastor Fatoyinbo.

He said CAN did not approve the purported visit.

Reacting to the statement and visit by CAN, Timi Dakolo on his Instagram page wrote:

In another news Timi Dakolo and wife has been summoned by the Nigerian Police for questioning in connection with the allegation. Timi on his Instagram page says his lawyer has prepared his mind for this turn of event.

He claims it is a false investigation as the petition that was tendered against Biodun Fatoyinbo is yet to be attended to.
