EDISA Awards 2022: Princess Peters Wins Best Female Gospel Artist of the Year

Nigerian gospel singer-songwriter, Princess Peters was named “Female Gospel Artist of the Year” at the 7th annual Edo/Delta Icons & Stars Awards (EDISA) – South South Edition. The award ceremony which celebrates individuals and organizations who have contributed to the continuous growth and development of the South-South part of Nigeria was held on Sunday, July 10, 2022, at the Rickrex Event center in Benin City, Edo.

Taking to social media, Princess Peters shared photos of herself holding the award along with a caption appreciating her fans for the votes. She also appreciated EDISA Awards for the trophy which she dedicates to the Glory of God.

“And we won the Best Female Gospel Artist In South South @ Edisa Awards. Thank you to everyone that voted, thank you @edisa_awards, To God alone be all the glory” She wrote on Instagram.

Recall in 2021, Princess Peters’ widely acclaimed “Urhuese” was awarded “Evergreen Song of the Year” at the Icons Awards. The indigenous, timeless thanksgiving anthem which dropped in 2019 has amassed over 1.8 million YouTube views (and still counting).

Princess Peters is a Singer, Songwriter, Relationship Coach, and Humanitarian who over the years, has remained steadfast in her mission of reconciling souls back to Christ. She is well-known for delivering uplifting music with a fine blend of Indigenous sound and contemporary elements.

Her latest single, “Iyes’ogie” (which means ‘Mother is Supreme’) was released earlier this year in celebration of Mother’s Day. It was also accompanied by a beautiful music video, available today to stream on her YouTube channel.
