Nigerian – Germany based Gospel songwriter and singer Confidence Onyemanze Azundu known as Minister Godfidence had an interview with us @Od7music where she adviced her fans saying “Just be yourself let no one tell you other wise, in everything you do put God first let him be your all”.

presenter: Ma, Can you tell us about yourself?
Godfidence: My name is Confidence Onyemanze Azundu .
I am from Imo state Owerri to be precise, I came from a family of 5
I was born in Kaduna but I grow up in Owerri my home town.
I minister in music and am also a nurse by profession.Am married with 4 kids 2 boys and 2 girls and I am based now in Bremen Germany.
presenter:So, can we know when you started your musical career?
Godfidence:Music has always been my thing, I started singing at the age of ten during house fellowships in my father’s house
Presenter:okay,Is there anyone in your family that is into music as a proffession?
Godfidence:Professional, no but my Mum, oh that woman can sing
Presenter:So can we say you got your singing gene from your mum?
Godfidence:Yes oooo
Presenter:So we should believe that you are the first person in your family ever to be a proffesssional singer.
Godfidence: Yes
Presenter:When did you start singing professionally and what inspired you to take music as a profession.
Godfidence:Let’s see 2019 I think,and I have always had it in my mind to do something but I am always afraid and unsure and dont have enough confidence to do it
Presenter:What are you afraid of?
Godfidence: I really don’t know ooo,That feeling that you are not Good enough or you are not meant for it, u know naa
Presenter:what about now,have you conquered it?
Godfidence: Yes, Almost there, My first single shine on me gave me breakthrough.
Presenter:okay, So tell us about the inspiration behind this song,it’s title?
Godfidence: Oh,Shine on me is a song from the place of pain, Kai !! this would take a bit of time oo
Presenter: Okay
Godfidence: Shine on me is em! my cry song it’s a song from the place of pain and also it’s a song of gratitude to the lord for what he did for me and my family
In january 2018 my daughter was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma it was a concerous tumor and my daughter was four years then it was a very deadline disease that she had to go through chemotherapy. it was a time of pain,it was a dark time for me and my family at a point the doctors doesn’t know what to do and felt it’s a lost case .she was 4 years then and I was also heavily pregnant with my last child then,I had to go through all that when the doctor said they don’t know what to do anymore so I went to the the toilet and started crying to God in prayers that God why,why is this happening to me and there right there, I got the song “Shine on me” and God really shined on me.So I did the song in June 2020.Thank God for paster Raphael he really helped the process
Presenter: That’s a really shocking story and sad one but we thank God that all ended in praise. So,Ma have you released any other song apart from that?
Godfidence: Yes I did in October of that same year I dropped the song Wonder Working God
Presenter:Should we be expecting anything from you this year?
Godfidence Soon

Godfidence:Ah it’s gonna be the bomb, Just come with worries believe me you will never go back the same and Your life will be changed for Good. It’s gonna be an awesome time with my maker so Come open heartedly to receive
Presenter:Ma, If you could change anything about the music industry, what would it be?
Godfidence: Nothing, I have not really thought of it
Presenter: Okay, Is there any artist you wish to collaborate with?
Godfidence: Ah I have a long list oo And I have a big eye .Okay Mr Bassey,Judikay let me just list those two.
Presenter:Have been wanting to ask this,when you were introducing yourself, when we started you said you are a music Minister and a nurse as a profession,
So we want to know What you would be doing right now, if it wasn’t for your musical career and nursing?
Godfidence: Maybe Business, I Love it
