Long Live Love: Kirk Franklin Talks Album Cover Inspiration

Thirteen-time Grammy Award-winner Kirk Franklin gives more insight on his soon to be released 13th studio album “Long Live Love” due on May 31st, 2019.

As far as the message in his music goes, he said, “The album speaks to culture and is based on the reality of life not being all Rosy, and perfect but there is a balance to things”

Discussing the album cover, he said “The only way you can see how bright your light is, is to identify the darkness and for you to identify light, there has to be darkness, and vice versa, so the essence of the contrast shown on the cover”.

In other News, Franklin is headlining the 2nd annual Exodus Music & Arts Festival on May 26. He’s also set to hit the road on the LONG LIVE LIVE tour beginning July 11. The songwriter will also take on his role as a host on BET’s singing competition, Sunday Best, when it airs this summer.
