Mercy Idegwu’s song ‘ Iyanu’ featuring Bukola Bekes bags the AGMA 2019 Indigenous song of the year.

The award event took place at the Havana Royal hall beside University of Ibadan, Ibadan Oyo State on the 15th of December.

Mercy Idegwu was voted the Most Valuable Singer in 2004 and 2005 at the early days of her singing ministry with RCCG.

With dedication, focus and unabated drive she continues to consolidate on the mission birthed at the tender age of 13 of spreading the joy and cheer of the good news of the gospel through songs. Actively involved in personal and communal projects aimed at easing the pains and sufferings around her especially in Sickle Cell Anemia patients, she continues to touch lives through her platform.

Collaborating with other gospel acts, she honed her skills participating and coordinating various choirs from Kogi, Abuja and Lagos, she now composes and performs for aesthetic pleasure, religious and ceremonial purposes.

She is a lead chorister since 2015 at a provincial headquarters of RCCG with 2 studio albums in 2016 and 2018 to her credit, her ministry has come this far through the grace of God and the support of her family and fans.
