The inaugural edition was organised in collaboration with Chorale de Kigali – a local choir with a membership of about 60.

The Lagos City Chorale led by Sir Emeka Nwokedi participated as a guest choir, performing at the Africa Unity Concert 1 with other notable ensembles across Africa, such as the The Harmonious Chorale Ghana, directed by James Varrick Armaah; Bokamoso Gospel Choir – BGC, South Africa; Chorale de Kigali, Rwanda etc.
