When We shall Reign – Olajose ft Heben Ayeni

589

Ebenezer Ayeni, one of the seeds of late Pastor Jacob Olorunfemi Ayeni of The Apostolic Church of Nigeria, was Christ Ambassador here on earth. If you are looking for a meek man, Eben was that man. He was the man who chased God in all humility. He knew so much, yet was ready to learn more. He taught and stood for the truth, and lived a Christlike life worth emulating.

The truth and the depth of the Gospel reflects in all his songs as they beam eternity in view; such songs like; Secret Place, GOD, amongst others.

“When We Shall Reign” is a new single written by his immediate older brother ‘Olaoluwa Ayeni popularly called Ola Jose featuring ‘Ebenezer Ayeni’ himself. The song was completed a week before his demise.

The second verse of the song which was taken by Ebenezer Ayeni states thus:

“The beauty of this world will fade away;
As our soul is flying away.
Don’t be decieved Christ will come,
Like a thief in the night.
Don’t sleep off”

This is a call to all believers and all who are yet to see the Light to live a life worth living, a life redefined in Christ Jesus.

No matter the name, fame and luxury we acquire, they will all fade away when we pass on to the other side. What would be left is a soul that is saved, ready to be beckoned unto by the Father at the second coming of Christ.

For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?” (Matt 16:26 NLT)

If you are yet to surrender all to Jesus, do so for your soul to be saved. Don’t be deceived, Christ will surely come soon, though it may tarry.

“Then we will no longer be like children, forever changing our minds about what we believe because someone has told us something different or because someone has cleverly lied to us and made the lie sound like the truth.
Instead, we will hold to the truth in love, becoming more and more in every way like Christ, who is the head of his body, the church” (Eph 4:14-15 NLT)

We should not be like the five foolish virgins that slept off while they await the master. Alas! They missed his arrival, they weren’t prepared.

“Later, when the other five bridesmaids returned, they stood outside, calling, ‘Sir, open the door for us!’
But he called back, ‘I don’t know you!
“So stay awake and be prepared, because you do not know the day or hour of my return” (Matt 25:11-13 NLT)

Be prepared to reign with Christ. Stay Woke! Jesus is coming soon.
