Daily Impact: January 21, 2024
Topic: Strength (Power) for the Journey
Text: Exodus 14:15

Power is the ability to do work or get things done.

Dimensions of power
Power for progress: there is power required to advance and make progress in life. Too many stagnate without knowing what to do or where to go. They have remained grounded and are rotting away. God designed our lives for progress. The better years are always ahead of us. The path of the just is as a shining light, shining more and more till the perfect day. God designed a better tomorrow for you. Pharoah pursued the children of Israel after their departure from Egypt. The devil (whatever holds you bound) does not want any of his captives to go free. Egypt is still after you, hence Peter admonished us to be careful, sober, and vigilant because our adversary, the devil is going around, seeking whom to devour. God instructed the children of Israel to move forward despite their opposition. The mandate of God on your life this year is progress. The word for you is “GO GORWARD”.

The power to say NO: you have a responsibility to say no to whatever wants you to compromise and desecrate your consecration. Temptation is the allurement to compromise your commitment. You commit to God, your spouse, and destiny. Titus 2:11-12, God has endowed us with the grace to deny ungodliness hence it becomes a responsibility to resist every temptation to bite the bait. The sin is in the bite and not the bait. There will be several temptations this year to give up and cave in but we have received the power to say no. The strength of the Lord will be available to you and you will say no to what made others bow. You will not bow to the challenges of life in Jesus’ Name.

Prayers
1. Father, I receive the power to make progress, and to go forward in spite of oppositions, challenges, and hurdles.
2. I receive the power to say no to whatever the enemy may bring my way this year. I receive the power not to bite the bait. I receive the grace to stand firm and strong. I will not fail where others fail.
3. I receive the power of the living God for my journey for 2024.
3. Father, impart strength to me as I appear before you today. My word comes to me and I am empowered.
