Text: Proverbs 13:20
Follow the guide, follow instructions, the word of God, the right way, and what is right.
Follow the wise: Proverbs 13:20, Do not follow fools, they are known by their words, their actions, and behaviour. surround yourself with wise people. You become like the people you walk with. Ensure you have wise people and people who are better than you in your circle of influence. Move with people who have visions and goals. Proverbs 14:1, a wise woman builds her own house. If you discover you are following an unwise person, quickly change your circle of influence. You don’t speak with a fool according to his folly. He is to be avoided. You must follow the wise if you must arrive at the destination glory this year.
Follow the leading of the Spirit: Romans 8:14, be led by the Holy Spirit. He will always lead you in the right direction. He will teach you the right thing to do. Being led by the Holy Spirit makes you stand out as a child of God. When God promised to guide us, He intended to do so by His spirit. You must submit yourself to the leading of the Holy Spirit and this is only possible when you know his voice to distinguish when and how he speaks to you. The relationship with the Holy Spirit is strengthened when you spend time in the word of God, in worship of the Almighty, and in prayers. The Holy Spirit will not lead you beyond your last act of obedience.
Follow those who through faith and patience inherit the promise: Hebrews 6:12, follow those whose example of faith and patience earned them the promise of God. There are examples of such people around you and in the scriptures. Abraham and Sarah are examples of such people. Abraham waited on God for 25 years. Elizabeth inherited the promise through Faith and patience. There are people around us with major needs whose faith did not waiver till God showed up for them. Wait for and on God.
Prayers
1. Father, I dissociate myself from those who are not wise, I break free from every wrong association.
2. I receive the grace to follow the wise and those who are better than me, to follow the spirit, to follow those who have earned the promise through faith
3. I submit myself to the leading of the Holy Spirit. I quit struggling with you.
4. I will patiently for the Lord, my faith in God will not be weak and I will not waiver, my faith in God will be strong.
