Areas of Focus that Determine the Extent of Achievement in Life

1. Looking back
2. Looking around: worry looks around. If you are fixated on the happenings around you, you will be worried. Take your eyes off the predicament of the economy, there are so many reasons to worry eg cost of transportation, absence of power supply, cost of necessities, etc. You get distressed when you look around, Matthew 14;29-30. Peter began to sink when he looked around the sea and saw the boisterous wind. He was able to walk on water when his gaze was on Jesus. Worry sinks a man. Philippians 4:6.
3. Looking at yourself: People look at their abilities, qualities, disabilities, challenges, etc. You will write yourself off if you look at yourself just like the 10 out of 12 men who went to spy on the land of Canaan, they saw themselves as grasshoppers. Sarah looked at her disability, Genesis 16, she wrote herself off bearing a child. Psalm 39:5, Everyman at his best phase is like a vapour. Don’t write yourself off, face that giant.

Prayer
1. Lord, let the root of anxiety and worry be destroyed in my life in the name of Jesus.
2. Father, turn around every situation causing me to worry and anxiety by the power of your spirit.
3. Father, I refuse to look at the circumstances and events around me, I set my gaze on you.
4. I receive the grace to look beyond myself and help me to achieve results and testimonies bigger and greater than me in the name of Jesus.
