Topic: Strength in the Inner man
Text: Ephesians 3:14-19
Our inner man can only be strengthened through the Spirit of God. The Holy Spirit empowers the inner man to fulfill the determinate counsel of God. The inner man is the inward man, it is the inner person, the real you, your inner being or your spirit. You are a spirit with a soul living in a body. The body is the house that accommodates your spirit. Your inner man must be strong. The strength in the inner man determines many things in your life.
1. The level of authority you command, Ephesians 3:20. The spiritual dominates the physical. You won’t be able to command any level of authority in the kingdom if your spirit man is weak. A mediocre spirit man will only be able to command mediocrity. A strong inner man has the ability to command a gift level of authority. God wants you to be in charge but the level of the strength of your authority determines what you are able to command. A spiritually weak usher once raised her hand against a diabolic lady and could not bring down her hand as commanded by the diabolic lady until they begged the diabolic lady on her behalf. It is important to build strength in your inward man.
2. Your ability to resist the devil: you can only resist someone you’re stronger than or possess the same level of strength. You can’t resist the devil by words of mouth or membership in a church. You must submit to God and have a robust relationship with God to build strength to resist the devil. The devil is brought under your feet in Christ Jesus.
Prayers
1. Father, strengthen me by your Spirit in my inner man.
2. Give me the grace to operate spiritual authority. Put me in charge by the power of your spirit in the name of Jesus.
3. I receive the power to resist the devil.
4. I receive spiritual authority to be in charge. I am in charge in life and destiny, I am not subservient to anyone.
5. Express your desires according to the power of God at work in you.
