Renowned worship leader, Sinach has smashed a new milestone with her global and timeless hit, “Way Maker“. The official video of the worship anthem has surpassed 200 million YouTube views, making it the 3rd most-streamed Nigerian song on the popular streaming platform after Davido’s “fall” (241M), at the time of press.
“Way Maker” which was first released back in December 2015, has been translated to over 50 languages and covered by many artists all around the world including Michael W. Smith, Leeland, and Bethel Music.
Thanks to “Way Maker,” Sinach topped the USA Billboard Chart for Christian songwriters for 12 consecutive weeks, making her the first African to achieve that feat. In 2020, she bagged the GMA Dove Award for “Song of the Year” (Way Maker).
Last year, “Way Maker” was named “Song of the Year” at the 2021 BMI Christian Awards virtual event, also making Sinach the first African gospel artist to achieve that feat.
