Nigerian born worship leader, Sinach has kicked off 2024 with her first single of the year, “Victory is My Name,” a collaboration with multi-Grammy, Stellar, and Dove Award-winning gospel recording artist Israel Houghton. The song is now available for streaming/download on all digital platforms.
First performed at the famous premier gospel music event “The Experience” in December 2023, “Victory is My Name” is a declarative anthem inspiring listeners to maintain their confidence and trust in God, as the eternal one is capable of providing overflowing joy, limitless protection, and assured victory on all fronts.
Co-written by Sinach and Israel Houghton, the new song is co-produced by Daniel Akagu-Jones, Danny Duncan, and Matt Sales. Reflecting on her latest work on Instagram, Sinach expressed, “As we were making this song, the Holy Spirit inspired in my heart an anthem for God’s people and the nations to declare His victory in all circumstances!”
“Many people are unsure of who they are in today’s world, coupled with troubling circumstances. Our response should be faith in God’s Word,” she continued.
Highlighting examples from the Bible, Sinach mentioned, “As Paul and Silas were thrown into prison, praise was their response (Acts 16:25-26). As the Israelites prepared to go to war, praise was their first response (2 Chronicles 20:21 KJV).”
