Topic: Dealing with the siege
Text: 2 Kings 25:1-2
And it came to pass in the ninth year of his reign, in the tenth month, in the tenth day of the month, that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came, he, and all his host, against Jerusalem, and pitched against it; and they built forts against it round about. And the city was besieged unto the eleventh year of King Zedekiah.
A siege was placed around Jerusalem to prevent good things from coming in and people from going out. Any life under siege is enclosed. Good and new things do not enter such a life. A life under siege does not record any new thing, he does not make progress, this may be the reason you’re yet to record any progress since 2023 began. A life under siege experiences stagnation and scarcity. Nahash besieged Jabesh-Gilead to bring shame and reproach upon Jabesh. A life under siege has no results and brings about shame, reproach, and insults.
My purpose today is to raise an altar and break every Satanic siege around your life and destiny so that you can fulfill the purpose of God for your life. It’s important to break the siege of the 10th month and disallow it from happening in our lives. It’s not the start of the year that matters but the end. God is interested in how you end the year and I pray you end the year much better than you started and you won’t leave the year on an empty note. Nebuchadnezzar besieged Jerusalem on the 10th month of the 9th year of his reign. We will not allow whatever the enemy has built around us to stand. The siege of Nebuchadnezzar was allowed and it persisted till the 11th year of Zedekiah. What you permit in your life persists. It’s your responsibility to react against what you do not want. It’s your responsibility to arise and terminate every siege.
There has been a siege around the destiny of Nigeria and this is why a country blessed with crude oil will export crude oil to import refined products, a country that should be in prosperity is now the poverty capital of the whole world. Certain people have built a fort around the economy of Nigeria, they are within the country but have their tentacles and investments outside the country, and should anything happen, they would take a shield outside Nigeria. We have plenty but are suffering amid plenty because the siege over the country is strong. We must rise to resist the siege. How can a 63-year-old be crawling backward? Nigeria had a currency that was stronger than several nations in the past but has crawled backward and is now dominated by currencies it once dominated. What a shame to the leadership of Nigeria and to those whose businesses have blossomed at the expense of Nigeria. It’s my prayer that the Lord will visit the land and cause the siege to be broken.
Prayer Focus
1. Father, let every siege against my life, family, and business be broken today in the name of Jesus.
2. Father, let everything the enemy has built around and against my life and destiny be destroyed today
3. Father, let the glory and beauty of my life and destiny become manifest in the name of Jesus
4. Father, let every Satanic encampment and siege over this country be broken today, were do not permit the siege to continue in the name of Jesus.
5. Father, let every Satanic system built against the destiny of Nigeria collapse today.
