Topic: Operating in the supernatural
Text: Kings 2:1-6, 9-15
It is the level of power at work in you that determines the level of your manifestation. There is a great glory on your inside that God wants to reveal but power is required to manifest this glory of God. Power is required to step into fulfillment in life and destiny. A man is a mere pawn on the chessboard of life without power. God wants you to be a leader and commander and not a pawn on the chessboard of life. The dimension of power available to you determines the level of result you will control. Micah 3:8, The spirit of God initiates us into the supernatural life. The starting point of access to the supernatural life is attained when a man surrenders his life to Jesus after which power needs to be continually generated. It is important to ensure that your fire is always burning. Operating in the supernatural gives you authority, ability, and wisdom.
Authority: Luke 10:19, there are two Greek words translated as power in the bible; Exousia which means authority, and dunamis which means ability. Authority refers to the right to be or do. Authority is received the day you accept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour. You have the authority to become a child of God, John 1:12. You have the authority to decree in the name of Jesus and it will come to pass. The right to cast out devils comes when you have the authority. The seven sons of Sceva in Acts 19:14-16 lacked authority and the demons inquired of their identity, in other words, authority.
Ability: This is Dunamis (the might to be or do). You cannot lift a weight above your capacity or ability. You must possess might to carry out spiritual tasks.
Wisdom: wisdom refers to the proper application of right and might. Some people placed in authority misuse their rights for self-serving purposes. Jesus had both the right and might to do all he did. The tempter came to make Jesus use his right and might to turn stones into bread to confirm his sonship but he replied to the devil that it was not necessary. Jesus applied wisdom not to use his right and might for a self-serving purpose. Wisdom is essential in the supernatural, Wisdom is needed to know when to act and when not to, to know when to demand your right and when to refrain from demanding your right.
Prayer Focus
1. Father, let me be ushered into the realm of the supernatural, cause me to begin to operate in the realm of the supernatural by the spirit of God.
2. Father, fill me with the spirit of wisdom to know when to apply my right and might.
3. Lift your voice and decree an end to what must not continue in your life by the authority you have in the name of Jesus.
4. Decree open doors with the power and might you have received.
