Topic: The Gifts of Help
Text: Hebrews 4:16, Psalm 20:1-4

One major blessing dispensed by grace is help. God helps a man and compels men to help him. We go to the house of the Lord to worship the Lord and receive help from Him on the Lord’s day. Ezra 5:2, Zerubabbel and Shealtiel obtained help from the sanctuary, from the prophets of God. Ezra 6:14, the help they received were prophecies from the servants of God. Help is a major catalyst for a man’s arrival at destiny. Every kingdom star is a product of help. Everyone needs help. A man who comes to the throne of grace comes to receive help.

What are the gifts of help?

  1. Divine Attention: May the Lord hear you/answer you as seen in Psalm 20:1 is a gift of divine attention. A man who is heard is a man who is answered because he is given attention. Your voice, cries, and prayers are not heard until you are given divine attention. May God hear you, give you attention, and answer your prayers. Mark 10:46, Blind Bartimaeus heard that Jesus was passing by and he raised his voice and cried out for mercy. He was shut down by everyone around him. The noise of the people did not matter and he cried out even louder because he needed the attention of Jesus.  Jesus stood still and Bartimaeus received His attention. Anyone who will help you must first give you his/her ears. Proverbs 21:13, You must not close your ears to the cries of people. That is when you will be heard when you cry. Give attention to people so you can gain divine attention and help people around you so you can gain divine help. every deed is a seed. When you sow the seed of help, you reap the harvest of help. Jeremiah 33:3.
  2. Divine Protection: Job 22:25, a man helped by God is divinely protected. The Almighty is his defence. Jeremiah 1:18, a man helped of God is a defended city. Deuteronomy 33:27, The Eternal God is your refuge, and underneath you are His everlasting arms. No power can snatch you from the everlasting arm of God when he carries you. He will be a wall of fire round about you, Zechariah 2:5.
  3. Divine aid and support: Psalm 20:2. When God helps a man, he is divinely aided and supported. May the Lord aid and support you divinely.
