Topic: Breaking Point
Text: 1 Kings 19: 7-8
There are a few things a man requires to arrive at the place God ordained for him in destiny. Life is a race and a journey. Strength, courage, and confidence are required to run the race of life. 1 Kings 19:7-8. Everyone needs strength for the great journey of life. Strength is being strong and possessing the ability to get things done.
Courage is the ability to do something difficult or dangerous. Courage is moral or mental strength to venture or persevere, to withstand danger. Joshua 1:6-7. God kept instructing Joshua that he required courage to carry out the task ahead of him. Take risks and dangerous tasks, be courageous. Confidence is the belief that you can do something well and succeed. Hebrews 10:35 confidence is required for reward.
The breaking point is a point where a man loses all strength, courage, and confidence to win, continue, resist, persevere, hang on and to get to his destination. There are different levels of strength, stamina and confidence. At the breaking point, progress becomes halted. I encourage you to press on and never give up, it is not over, do not give up on your dreams, promise, mountains, promised land and your reward. Do not give up on the promises of God for life. Don’t get to your breaking point.
Elijah got to his breaking point after a major victory and revival. He was threatened by Jezebel, and he ran for his life, 1 Kings 19:1. Elijah was needed to continue the revival he had started but he ran into the wilderness and began to wish for death. He became suicidal. He lost the confidence, courage, and strength to continue the revival. You must not lose your strength. The word of God to you this morning is rise up, eat and drink, the journey is still great for you, there’s a mountain you need to get to. There’s a reward ahead of you. Get up and get going.
Prayer Focus
1. I pick up my life and destiny, I take strength, stamina, and my confidence back. I refuse to give up in the name of Jesus.
2. Every threat to my life, my destiny, family, calling, ministry and career, be silenced and still in the name of Jesus.
3. I refuse to break down, I refuse to give up and surrender. I press on in the name of Jesus, I will get to my mountain in the name of Jesus, I’ll possess my Canaan and obtain my reward in the name of Jesus.
