Topic: The prayer and Fasting Dynamite
Text: Isaiah 58:6-14
Every instruction in the scripture is given for our profit, 2Timothy 3:16. Jeremiah 33:3, God instructed us to call on him. This is a necessity so that God will reveal what we do not know to us. God instructed us to pray to show that we are dependent on him. Fasting is beneficial to us as believers.
Benefits of fasting and prayer
1. It guarantees the release and renewal of power and strength from the Almighty. Strength is required to start and finish a journey. Luke 4:14. Jesus waited on God in prayer and returned in the strength and power of God. Isaiah 40:31, it’s important for strength to be renewed so you can walk your way safely, to mount up with wings as Eagles and walk and not faint. Psalm 66:3, enemies only submit to power. Ephesians 3:20, God deals with you according to the power of God residing in you. Elijah ate and went on his journey in the strength of the food for 40 days
2. Fasting subdues the flesh waring against the spirit and makes you spiritually sensitive. Look for a time to pray and fast as the year winds to a close.
Prayer Focus
1. Father, renew my strength, give me enough strength to finish the journey of this year and to start and finish the journey of 2024 and the coming years to the glory of your name.
2. Father, the remaining days of this year and the coming years, I will run and not be weary, I will walk and not faint.
3. Father, pleasantly surprise me the remaining days of this year with your favour and blessings.
