Topic: What and who not to follow

Who or what you follow determines whether and how far you’ll get to in life and destiny. Don’t follow sinners, don’t follow what you see and don’t follow strangers.

Don’t follow your own way, Proverbs 16:25. Many people get it wrong in life because they are fixated on their way. They want everyone to go their route for things to work but this is a recipe for failure. You’ll get lost unknowingly when you follow your way. There is safety in the multitude of counsellors and in wise counsel. Don’t be right in your eyes. You cannot be right at all times. You can’t know it all or be a master of all. There are people who know it better than you do, you may be ruined following your way.

Do not follow the weather. The weather is one of the most unreliable authorities in life. It changes without warning. Ecclesiastes 11:4. You will never get anything done in life if you’re awaiting a favorable weather. Forge ahead regardless of the weather. Don’t allow your circumstances to create the path for you. Sowing is critical to life, do not allow the weather prevent you from sowing so that you can have harvest.

Don’t follow your feelings. Feeling good about a thing does not make it right and feeling bad about a thing does not make it wrong. Follow the word of God. Your feelings are unreliable and could be dependent on circumstances. Your feelings can drag you aground like Judah. He lost everything when he followed his feelings. Feelings are not always accurate or right. Esau sold his birthright for his feelings and became a servant to his brother

Prayer Focus
1. Father, I receive the grace not to follow my own way. I make a commitment to follow you dear God
2. Father, I will not follow the weather and my feelings in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
