Topic: Narrow your circle
Text: Genesis 22:4-5
Abraham instructed his young men to stay with the Donkey when they got close to Mount Moriah. As you move closer to your place of divine destiny, you need to let go of some people because not everyone in your circle of influence will fit into the new height God is taking you. Move with people who are relevant to your new level. There’s a greater place God is taking you to and you need to drop these people to get there. Don’t move around with Lot who will slow you down or hinder you from hearing the voice of God. 2 Kings 4:3-4, the widow was asked to shut the door and had just she and her son in the room when it was time for a change. You must shut the door against people who aren’t heading in your direction or believing in your dreams. You must narrow your circle of friends if you must go up in life (Bishop TD, Jakes).
People could be your greatest asset or greatest obstacle/challenge to the fulfillment of God’s plan and your dreams, people made Saul miss it, and the contemporaries of Rehoboam made him miss it. Get out of the crowd to get ahead in life and Destiny. Zacchaeus left the crowd and ran ahead to see Jesus. There’s no room for the crowd at the next level God is taking you to.
Who or what must you narrow off your circle?
1. Whoever isn’t going your direction: such people are distractions and they will delay you or hinder you from getting to your destination.
2. Anyone not positively adding to your life and destiny.
3. Anyone who always takes and never gives to you.
4. Anyone envious of your success
Prayers
1. Father, I receive the grace to shut the door against anyone not relevant to the new height you’re taking me to
2. Father, I receive the grace to break free from everyone, thing, or habit that is a stronghold to my new height of glory.
3. Father, bring me into relationships with people who are relevant to my destiny and dreams.
