Topic: Born to conquer
Text: Hebrews 1:1-4

Jesus Christ, the son of the living God, came into this ugly world to manifest to us the glory of the Almighty God. In Christ Jesus we have the brightness of God’s glory and the express image of his person. The scripture tells us that God at various times and in various ways and manners, spoke to the fathers in the time past by the prophets but in these last days he has chosen to speak to us through his only begotten son. The celebration of Christmas is not a theological thing, and should not be subjected to any theological argument. The fact that Jesus was born is enough for us to celebrate whether we know the actual date of his birth or not. This season, the focus is Christ, who came and was born to conquer.

God has appointed him as heir of all things. Christ Jesus is the brightness of God’s glory and the express image of God’s person, and is the one who upholds all things by the word of his power. And when he had purged our sins, he sat down at the right hand of The Most High, He obtained a better and an excellent name by inheritance. God is a God of plan, program and purpose. God does nothing outside of a purpose. Jesus was God’s divine purpose for mankind and still is. He is the divine purpose of God to answer all the questions of life. He was born to conquer.

Jesus came to the Jews first to answer their questions and then to all of us to answer the questions and to conquer for us. We lost it to the devil in the Garden of Eden through sin. But Jesus Christ became the window of escape that God opened for the children of Israel and for mankind, God told the Devil. I am going to put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed you will bruise his head, but he will bruise your heel. Jesus therefore came to conquer. 1 Corinthians 15:57. Jesus Christ has finished this work on the cross 1 John 5:4, You must have faith that the birth of Christ was to give you the victory and the deliverance that your life desperately needs and to give us victory over sin. Matthew 1:21, Christ came to reconcile man to God, and this he made possible by destroying the power of sin. Habakkuk 1:13. When Jesus hung on the cross, he cried. My father, my father, why have you forsaken me? The father temporarily forsook the son because he bore on himself the sin of the whole world. He cannot behold sin.

He came to conquer sickness Acts 10:38. He came to destroy sickness, so you are not to be subservient to sicknesses and diseases because Jesus Christ came to deliver you not only from sin, but from sickness. The birth of Christ, therefore terminated sicknesses and diseases in our lives because he came to conquer.
