Topic: Born to conquer
Text: Luke 10:17-19
The most fundamental thing about the birth of Jesus is not the date but the fact that Jesus Christ, the son of the living God, left his glory. He took the form of a man and was born through a virgin. He came to conquer. He came to conquer sin to give us victory over sin. He also came to conquer sickness. That was why he went about doing good, healing all those who were oppressed of the devil.
He came to give us victory over Satan, Christ Jesus came to give us victory, to conquer Satan and all his works. Jesus is the promised seed of the woman. He came to conquer Satan and to destroy all his works. Jesus Christ came, by his coming, he made a public show of the devil, he destroyed Satan and his power, and he gave power to us and authority. Psalm 66:3. Jesus said, I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven, and not only did he fall from heaven, he is also to fall before you as a believer in Christ Jesus. Because Jesus conquered Satan, we also conquer Satan. We conquer powers, principalities, demons and all the works of the enemies. You have no reason to be afraid of Satan or his works Jesus has conquered for you. Jesus has conquered for me.
He was born to conquer the works of Satan, to destroy all his works, everything that the enemy, Satan represents, 1John 3:8, The son of God was manifested that he might destroy the works of the devil. Jesus came, he was born that he might destroy the works of the devil and so you as a child of God, a believer in Christ, You have the authority. Jesus has given you authority and the power to destroy all the works of the devil. You are not to be subservient to the works of the devil. You are to destroy them in the name of Jesus. All the works of the Devil, sins, sicknesses, diseases, oppression. You are to destroy them by setting the captives free, not in your name or power, but in the name of Jesus.
Jesus came to be victorious, to conquer curses, and so you are free from curses because Jesus has destroyed curses and the power of curses over our lives and over our destinies. Galatians 3:13-14. Jesus Christ came to destroy your curses, and covenants to give you and me victory over them. He hung on the cross so that we could be redeemed from the curse of the law and bring blessings so that we can have access to the blessings of Abraham. This is why Christ came. He came to give us this victory. Now you cannot be cursed. In Christ Jesus, I am uncursed. I have the blessings of God. I have the victory of the cross. Christ has won the victory. Numbers 23:23. Prayer Focus
1. I take the authority of the name of Jesus and I command Satan to fall before me in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. The Bible says, I see Satan fall like lightning from heaven therefore, Satan, I command you to fall through the greatness of God’s power at work in my life. Submit yourself now. Bow in the name of Jesus. I declare that all the works of the devil or the works of the enemy in my life, in my family, around my life and destiny, be totally destroyed now, in the name of Jesus.
2. I am delivered from the curse of the law. I am no longer under any curse. I pray Christ Jesus has rescued and delivered me from the curse of the law. I am no longer under any curse.
