Topic: Strength (Power) for the Journey ‘Contd
Text: Acts 6:4
Peter knew that a major channel of power is Prayer and the Ministry of the Word hence he was less concerned with administration and welfare. It is necessary to be wary and careful of any man throwing his hands to show and do miracles or science. The word of God must be taught or preached because it is a conveyor of the power of God. The Bible instructs us to pray without ceasing. Luke 18:1, On to the end, men ought always to pray and not faint. It is important for you to always pray. It is a daily responsibility. It is a duty. You must see prayer as a duty. Prayer must be your lifestyle, a lifestyle of every believer and every person who will operate in power. Build power in the place of prayer and devote yourself to the study of the word. These virtues combined form a very powerful channel for the flow of power. When you give yourself to the study of the word, you make a profit, 1 Timothy 4:15. Feed your spirit man with the word of God and meditate on it for success Joshua 1:8. Ptray in the Holyghost to build strength and generate power Jude 1:20. Ezra devoted himself to the study of the Word of God to seek the law of the Lord, and to do these ordinances in Israel and then to teach it. Study God’s word, do His word, and then teach his word, Ezra 7:10.
Knowledge is another channel connected to power. Knowledge produces courage and boldness. In Daniel 11:32. The Bible says the people who know their God will be strong and do exploits. knowledge produces power. Lack of knowledge results in an absence of confidence, and places you at the mercy of those who know. Know your God, know God, His purpose, and his will. Know the word of God, His counsel, and plans for your life. You cannot excel without knowledge. You cannot succeed outside of knowledge. Knowledge builds power. Knowledge produces boldness, confidence, and courage which invariably produce power in a man’s life. It is my prayer again that your life will be full of power to the praise of the glory of the Lord in the name of Jesus. The spoken word is another channel of power. You must be ready to speak the word of God all of the time. Your confession produces power, Psalm 62 verse 11. You must keep speaking the word of God.
Prayers
1. Father, this year 2024, create an insatiable appetite for your word and your presence in my life. In the name of Jesus.
2. Father, let your word produce great profit in my life and my destiny in the name of Jesus
3. Father, let me see the result of my prayers, let my prayers be answered in the name of Jesus.
4. Father, let the hearing of your word produce faith in me and let my speaking of your word produce power in me in the name of Jesus.
