Topic The Outpouring of The Holy Spirit
Text: Joel 2:28-29
The power of the Holy Spirit is essential in the life of a believer for a life of colour and fruitfulness. A fruitful believer produces results after the expectations of creation. We cannot be what we ought to be or do what we ought without the Holy Spirit.
Why has God poured out His Spirit? The promise is for every believer. God has given us the Holy Spirit for profit, 1 Corinthians 12:7. God wants our lives to be profitable.
Acts 1:8, Acts 10:38, Micah 3:8
1. To manifest the power of God in life and ministry. Power is needed to make things happen, Luke 24:49. The Holy Spirit imparts the power to live life successfully. The enemies will not submit without the power of God. Psalm 66:3. Luke 10:19.
2. To demonstrate the wisdom of God. Ephesians 3:10, God wants to manifest and demonstrate his manifold power through the church. Power and wisdom are 2 dimensions of the church. The church has excelled in the demonstration of power but is lagging in the demonstration of wisdom. Power workout wisdom ruins the carrier.
Prayer
1. Father, fill me afresh with the power and wisdom of the Holy Spirit
2. Father, make my life productive and profitable by the power and help of the Holy Spirit
3. Father, help me manifest your power and demonstrate your wisdom in every aspect of my life.
4. Let the works of your power and fruits of your wisdom be evident in my life.
