Topic: The Outpouring of the Holy Spirit

What happens in a life that lacks the Holy Spirit?
1. Life cannot be profitable as God intends and desires. A fruitful life produces results after the expectation of heaven and creation. Without the Holy Spirit in a man’s life, he cannot be fruitful, and productive, and cannot produce according to the expectation of heaven. There will be spiritual dryness and famine. Isaiah 32:13-15, Is your life barren and dry? Then check it out, maybe the Holy Spirit is absent in your life, The Holy Spirit leaves when he is grieved.

2. The Christian life will be a wilderness journey. It will be hard, very difficult, if not impossible. It is impossible to lead the Christian life without the Holy Spirit because He helps us overcome the emotions of flesh. The Holy Spirit guides, leads, and instructs. Many people have considered the Christian life as an impossible life. The presence of the Holy Spirit converts the wilderness into a fruitful field, and the fruitfield is counted as a forest. In other words, there is fruitfulness where the Holy Spirit is present and the Christian life will not be a hard one in the presence of the Holy Spirit.

3. There are strong temptations to go back to Egypt. You left Egypt. Egypt has not left you, and that is why the temptations or the challenges, the habits, the sins that had dominion over you before you met Christ keep coming after you. Sin and its power were broken when you came to Christ, but you suddenly discover this sin is trailing you again, coming back again, and it is almost becoming a struggle. Egypt is still coming after you, the children of Israel left Egypt, and Egypt was still coming after them. It is never the desire of a man who holds you bound or anything that holds you bound to let you go free. If you are not baptized in the Holy Spirit, these strong temptations to turn back to Egypt will be overwhelming, Hebrews 11:15, Any man who lacks the Holy Spirit will slide back to Egypt without much Ado. You need the presence of the Holy Spirit to keep you going, to keep you firm, steadfast, immovable, and always abounding in the works of the Lord.

4. The Church of God will be spiritually dry and powerless. God wants the church to demonstrate or manifest his power. He also desires to demonstrate his manifold wisdom through the church. The absence of the Holy Spirit, however, will produce a drought and powerlessness in the drought. The church will lack power, and wisdom, and will not be able to bring honour, praise, and glory to the name of the Lord.

5. Absence of the convicting ministry of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the one who convicts the world of sin but in the absence of the Holy Spirit. there will be no conviction. And so people come into church as sinners and they go out as sinners. Sometimes they come to church and become a church member, get baptized, and move on. No convicting power of the Holy Spirit in their lives. They came in as dry sinners to baptism and they’re going back as wet sinners after baptism. With the presence of the Holy Spirit, the convicting power of the spirit of God would be available to bring people to the saving knowledge and grace of Christ Jesus.

Prayer
1. I come against every form of dryness and famine in my life, in my destiny, in my ministry, in the name of Jesus.
2. I refuse to go back to Egypt. I command the Egypt trailing me to give up. I break the power of Egypt over my life and destiny in the name of Jesus.
3. Father, let my life and our church be on fire for you. Let me not be powerless. Let our church not be powerless. Let my life and church be full of your power, and let us be on fire for your glory.
4. I ask for an outpouring of the convicting power of the Holy Spirit upon my life and the church
