Topic: The Drama of His Resurrection
Text: Psalm 24:7-10, 1 Corinthians 2:7-8
God ordained the mystery of our salvation and liberation from the beginning and he kept it secret from the enemy. This is a major lesson for us as believers, hide your secrets and present your results. Many flaunt what should be secrets. Hide your nudity, the tactics of your business. The Princes of this world did not understand the mystery of salvation so they crucified Christ and they were happy, if they knew salvation was in the crucifixion, they wouldn’t have crucified Jesus. Hell jubilated at His dying till Jesus showed up in hell to retrieve them keys of death and hell but the gate was shut. Jesus spoke to the gates announcing his arrival as the King of Glory, hell lifted its head and the gates opened, hell trembled and the keys were handed over to Jesus.
Hell bowed and surrendered the keys to Jesus because of the greatness of the power of Jesus. Jesus arose and announced, “All power in heaven and earth is given to me”. The power was lost by Adam in the garden when he ate the fruit but Jesus regained the power by hanging on the tree. The fruit of the tree was the origin of man’s fall but a product of the tree resolved the problem. Jesus is triumphant over darkness. You are no longer a candidate of hell so you shouldn’t be afraid of death or hell. The resurrection of Jesus has made you free and restored power unto you. Live in the triumphant victory the cross brought to you.
Prayer
1. Lift up your head O ye gates and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors. Let every door hindering my breakthrough be lifted up.
2. Powers behind closed doors in my life, surrender to me now by the power of Christ’s Resurrection.
3. I command my gates of glory, prosperity, advancement etc to open for me by the power of Christ’s Resurrection.
