Text: 1 Peter 5:10

But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.

The Bible in the above scripture refers to God as the God of all Grace. Grace is what God gives you to get every other thing He has made available to you. It is God in the affairs of men, the dimension of divinity in humanity. Grace is the visible manifestation of God’s hands in a man’s affair. Grace is what others see and give to you just like Paul recounted how the elders saw the grace endued to Himself and Barnabas and gave to them the right hand of fellowship. Grace is the ability of God in the disability of man. God is the father of all grace and of the fullness of His grace, we have all received grace for grace.

Every form of grace can be found in God. God has called us into His eternal glory, being a God of glory. God created man in His glory thus He said, let us make man in our image and after our likeness and let them have dominion. God wrapped up man in glory after creation. This glory covered Adam and Eve thus they did not realize they were naked. They were physically naked but covered by the glory of God until they were sinned. Romans 3:23, Sin strips a man of the Glory of God. There is restoration of the lost glory because of His mercy. The glory lost in Adam was restored in Jesus. He has called us to His eternal glory.

You have been called to glory. Regardless of your present situation, you have been called to God’s glory. God has not called you to shame you, your call/assignment is for glory and not for story. May you enter into the glory God has called you into. you must understand that the God of all grace is a god of process. Glory has weight and for this reason, God will not just bring anyone to glory without preparation. He will allow you to suffer for a while. The suffering is not to make you BITTER but BETTER. Romans 8:18 declares that there is a glory to be revealed in man. God first prepares man before the revelation of this glory. This preparation might be in the form of suffering or wilderness experience, a place of aloneness. He took the children of Israel through the wilderness and made them suffer so many things to prepare them for their prepared place. God will permit suffering in your life to prepare you for your prepared place. Do not waste God’s pain or suffering.

The Suffering is for a while and not forever. He prepares and matures you through the suffering after which he makes you perfect and establishes you. You become established when you go through the process of suffering without a compromise of your consecration. You are perfected, established, settled, and strengthened. The purpose of suffering is to strengthen you emotionally, and spiritually. Suffering drives you to your knees, to pray with absolute dependence on God thereby, we are built on our most holy faith as we pray in understanding and the spirit. We become purged and pruned by God and we mature into the glory God has prepared. THERE CAN BE NO TRIUMPH WITHOUT TRIAL, NO TESTIMONY WITHOUT A TEST. These trials you are faced with are to strengthen you, and toughen you spiritually, emotionally, mentally, and in every other aspect of life. You become settled in different aspects of life through the trials. The place God has prepared for you is the place of divine settlement. The grace to make your settlement happen is available through Christ Jesus hence, God has called us into His eternal glory by Christ Jesus. God intends to make you settled and comfortable.

Many have missed their moments of preparation and are lagging behind the programme of God for their lives. Jacob is one such example. Jacob missed God at Bethel where he was shown a ladder with angels bringing blessings and miracles. God was prepared to bring Jacob into his moment at that time but Jacob missed God and it cost him another 20 years to get to the place of blessing God prepared for him. It’s my prayer that you will be taken to your prepared place and you will not miss it in Jesus Precious’s name. Amen.

Prayer Focus
1. O God of all grace, let your grace speak eloquently upon my life, make your grace visible upon my life and destiny in the name of Jesus
2. Father, Bring me into the glory you have designed for me having prepared me and suffered a while in the name of Jesus
3. O God of all grace, settle me in every area of my life in the name of Jesus.
