Topic: Operating in the Supernatural
Text: 2 Kings 2:1-15
How to operate or live in the supernatural
1. You need a relationship with Jesus Christ our Lord. This is the initiation to the supernatural. You cannot live in the supernatural without accepting Jesus into your life except in the negative supernatural that is through the kingdom of darkness. The devil gives nothing without a price but Jesus offers the supernatural through his death and resurrection on the cross. He paid the debt and offered the highest sacrifice of his blood. No other sacrifice is tenable before God. John 1:11-12, 1 John 5:4, We overcome by faith and only those who are born of God are overcomers because they have been initiated by the power of God into the supernatural and they carry the power of God. Have you accepted Christ as your Lord and Saviour? It is more important to stay connected to Christ than merely be a member of a church.
2. Followership: You must follow Jesus Christ to operate in the supernatural, only a good follower can emerge as a great leader. A man who has not followed can never lead and a man who did not follow well cannot be a great leader. Matthew 4:18-19 Jesus invited the disciples to follow him and they followed him immediately and he made them fishers of men, Every leader must be led. Acts 9:8, they led Paul by the hand, He had to submit to the leadership of others. You must follow Christ to be to live in the supernatural after which you should be able to submit to one who can call you to order. Some carriers of power are too young to operate in wisdom so they need a leader to guide them through to prevent a misuse of the authority/power they possess and how to manage the grace, investment, and resources of God. Elisha followed Elijah through.
3. Focus: You must refuse to be distracted. Elisha stayed focused despite the numerous distractions from people. I admonish you to stay focused on the Lord your God, your assignment. Stay focused on operating in the supernatural. Stay focused on your assignment rather than dabble into another man’s assignment for effectiveness. Don’t attempt to force any gift or grace
Prayer Focus
1. Father, I am connected to you through Christ Jesus the Lord, Release your power upon me.
2. I refuse to be distracted from my purpose and assignment. I will remain focused and nothing will distract me.
3. Father, Let me see the results of my calling.
4. Father, let there be results in my life today, and let all I do produce results
