Topic: The power of Separation.

The God we serve is not limited by place. God is omnipresent, he is present everywhere. There is nothing he cannot do. God can do all kinds of miracles.There is no limit to what God can do based on an environment. What he can do in the United States of America. He can do much more in the United Kingdom. He can do much more in Nigeria, in Africa, God is not limited by place at all. It is people who are limited. We’re limited in our thinking, attitude, and approach. God is not limited, however, for some notable miracles, signs, wonders and advancement to take place in a man’s life, he has to be separated. Separation sometimes is essential for a man to experience notable miracles, wonders, blessings or make advancement in life and in destiny. God often calls for separation for us to see notable wonders in our lives.

Mark 8:22- 23, This blind man was brought to Jesus. All they wanted from Jesus was to touch this man so that he could regain his sight but Jesus needed this man to separate himself from his environment, from his people, and from the place of of birth. The reason is because separations of some sort is required for a man to experience certain notable miracles in life and in destiny. You cannot be in the environment that has limited you and expect to be lifted. You cannot remain in the environment that is toxic to your destiny and experience advancement. That might be the need for you to get separated in order to experience development or transformation. We’ll take a look at certain examples of people in the scriptures who were separated or had to separate themselves for them to make advancement.

Abraham: Genesis 12:1, God came to Abraham and asked him to separate himself from his father’s house, from his country, and from the familiar. It is expedient for you to know that there are times that God will want you to separate yourself from your environment, from the place of your upbringing, because that place has a limiting force or factor over your life and over your destiny. If you don’t get out, you may continue to struggle. God needed Abraham to move out of his father’s house, Abraham obeyed. Long after he had left in  Genesis chapter 13 and 14, God also needed Abraham to separate from his nephew, Lot. Abraham did not hear the voice of God until Lot separated. Lot was reminding Abraham of his father’s house. He was an excess luggage in Abraham’s package and he needed to separate from Lot to fulfill the purpose of God for his life and his destiny. What represents Lot in your package? What are those things that you have carried over? What are those things that you are supposed to drop but that you are holding onto? If you are going to see the notable miracles of God in your life, you must drop such things or such people. Who or what is it that is obstructing you and preventing you from hearing God’s voice and God’s Direction? It is expedient for you to separate yourself from such person or such things. Separation is a necessity for us to get to the place God has ordained for us.

Jacob: he had to separate himself, from his family. Genesis 32:24, Jacob was left alone, it is important for you to know when to be left alone with God for the notable thing that God intends to do in your life. If you want a different result from what you are experiencing right now, separate yourself to seek the face of God, separate yourself to pray. Self separation is important.

Joseph: Genesis 49:22-26, Blessings came upon the head of Joseph, the man who was separate from his brethren. I feel God that God had been speaking to Joseph about separation but Joseph did not quite get the message, and so God had to use his brothers to sell him. So the brothers sold him out of his father’s house. He had a coat of many colours in his father’s house, but you must understand that the coat of many colours in your present situation may obstruct or prevent you from getting the ultimate coat of glory that God has designed for you. Sometimes the worst enemy of your best place is your good place. Your present blessing may be the enemy of your ultimate blessing, and that is the reason why we need to find out those things that God wants us to separate from and separate ourselves from them. Joseph was finally separate and the blessings of God showed up upon his life.

Prayer Focus

1. Father, help me to separate myself from everything or every person that is not an addition to my journey.
2. Lord, I separate myself from every lot in my package, from everything that I have that I should drop in the name of Jesus.
3. Whatever has not allowed me to hear your voice. Whatever has not allowed me to make progress and advancement, whatever has not allowed your counsel and your purpose to find fulfillment in my life, I break myself free from such in the name of Jesus.
4. Father, I separate myself to you for your blessings, for your multiplication, for your increase, for your exaltation, for your lifting, for wonders, for miracles, for the fulfillment of your counsel and purpose. I separate myself to you for your word, for your voice, that I may hear you clearly, that I may make progress in life and in destiny In Jesus Precious name.
