Topic: Commanding the battles against stars to cease
Text: Psalm 46:9
The war against stars is one of the major battles a man must conquer in life. Gen 15:5, God showed Abraham the picture of his children. He called them stars. We were in the loins of Abraham, we were in the picture of what God was showing Abraham. You have a destiny to shine. Your destination is glory. You have a mandate to shine. Matthew 2:1-2, stars are worshipped in the East and that’s why the wise men looked for the star of Jesus to worship Him. This is the practice in their place of birth and upbringing. In Judea where Herod was King, stars are killed and hindered from shining that’s why he tried to eliminate the radiance of the star of Jesus. Some of us are not privileged to be born where stars are recognized and allowed to shine, some of us were born where stars are fought against and this explains the reason for our struggles in life. There’s a need to fight and they may prevail against you like the horn in Dan 7, the horn prevailed until the Ancient of days came. The Lord will make every war against your star cease so that your star may rise, shine and soar. The Lord shall be a defense around your stars and the stars of your children. Isaiah 4:5.
You are created a star, a celebrity and not a nonentity. That’s the package God has arranged for your life and destiny. You will shine as stars in every area of your life. The story of a very brilliant boy named Samuel was shared by a man of God. He was doing excellently in his academics. He was the top of his class. His father took him to their village during one of the vacations, he had no idea stars are killed in his hometown. After the festivities, they returned back to the city and Samuel could no longer spell his name. That was how his star was killed from the place of his birth. It’s easy for wicked forces to identify great stars but many children of God do not even know that they are stars. The battles against your life may be so fierce because of the magnitude of your glory.
We are stars in Christ. The glory that was lost in the garden of Eden was restored by the suffering of Christ on the cross, therefore, I congratulate you if you are a believer in Christ Jesus, your star is defended and your glory will shine.
Prayer Focus
1. Father, I am destined a star to shine, let my star rise and shine to the glory of your name.
2. Father, let every war against my star be totally subdued under the soles of my feet.
3. Father, be a covering over my star, upon my glory. Be a defence over my star.
