Topic: The Weightier Matters
Text: Matthew 7:16

I pray that the heavens be opened upon you for a bountiful harvest this end of the year season. A major door will open for you here on earth because a door is opened for you in heaven, Revelation 4: 1a. Doors of favour, blessings, promotion, financial abundance and gifts are open to you in the name of Jesus. As the year winds up, the God of divine remembrance will divinely remember you. Your benefactors and those you’ve helped who have forgotten you will remember your kindness to help you in the name of Jesus. The end of the year is sickness and trouble and accident free for you. You’ll walk your way safely and not stumble, the Lord guides you continually and He shall satisfy your soul in drought. The angels of God are on assignment on your behalf and you’ll testify in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.

More attention should be paid to our fruits than gifts, the fruit of the Spirit. What fruits are you producing? The fruits your life produces are much more important than the gifts you demonstrate. There are people with gifts but they are character barren. A believer is known for his fruits and not gifts. There are people mimicking the gifts of God. The proof of God’s approval on a man are his fruits and not the gifts therefore, attention must be paid to the fruits rather than the gifts. Develop in the fruit of the spirit rather than your gift. God placed more premium on fruits than gifts, this is not in any way condemning the gifts of God in any of his servants. The gifts of God in a man must be complemented by the fruit of the Spirit. Your character is more important than your reputation. Your character is who you are, your reputation is who people think you are. Your character counts. You cannot be character barren or deficient and claim to be a child of God with grace, gifts, abilities or talents. Be a man of character.

Pay more attention to your walk than your talk. Talk is cheap, therefore, it is imperative to walk your talk. it’s more important to do than to say, Ezra 7:10. Ezra sought the study of the Law and devoted himself to observing the law. He did the law before he taught it. He did not do what he did not practice. Acts 1:1, Jesus taught the people what he did. There must be a synchronisation between what you teach and what you do.

Prayer Focus
1. Father, let my life, character and attitude be pleasing to you in the name of Jesus.
2. Father, I receive the grace to walk my talk, give me the grace to be a doer of the word and not just a hearer and teacher alone.
3. Father, let my life and destiny bring forth fruits that will be pleasing to you and abide till eternity.
4. Father, let a major door open for me before 2023 is over. Cause heavens open for me this week in Jesus name.
