Topic: Who and What to Follow
Text: Mark 14:13, Hebrews 12:14
Follow the guide, instructions, the word of God, the right way, follow what is right, follow the wise, follow the spirit’s leading, and follow those who through faith and patience inherit the promise.
Follow the man who carries something: there are a lot of empty barrels constituting noise all over, on social media, on altars, and behind the pulpit in our places of worship. They have nothing to offer. Mark 14:13, You must never follow a man who carries nothing as a young lady trusting God for a life partner. You must follow a man with substance. Follow a man who is driven by something and not one who drives something. God and his purpose should drive the man. Don’t just follow a man because he prophesied and it came to pass, many people are performing signs and wonders and are not sent by God. Don’t follow a prophet whose practices and doctrines contradict the scriptures. You must unfollow everyone who has nothing to offer. You become effective in life by being selective.
Follow Peace: Hebrews 12:14, There will always be offenses but never allow offense to create anger or bitterness in you. Pursue peace as much as it lies in your path. If you follow peace with someone who wants the contrary, then leave the person in the hands of the Almighty. Hold no one in your heart. Don’t allow people to dictate the state of your heart, follow peace with all men. whoever does not want your peace is not worthy of it, be sure not to make an enemy with such a fellow. You can restructure your circle of influence, eliminate and add to your circle of influence, and most importantly, follow peace with all men. Follow Holiness, it is a requirement to see the Lord.
Prayers
1. Father, make me a man of substance, great content, and a man people will want to follow.
2. Father, I receive the grace to unfollow everyone who is no longer relevant to my destiny, I receive the grace to move on in the name of Jesus.
3. Father, I receive the grace to forgive all offenses and offenders. I pray for the grace to seek, pursue, and follow peace with all men.
4. I receive the grace to follow the right person and what is right. Let me be led to greater glory according to your word.
