Topic: The Altar of prayer
Text: Matthew 13:3-8
More things in life are difficult than are easy. More things fail than succeed. In the parable of the sower, only one produced results out of the four. To experience a very hard, tough, and difficult life, all you need is to do nothing, fold your hands, and watch your life come to ruin. Prov 24:30-34, A man who does nothing about his life watches himself fail while others are rising and he begins to whine and cry.
Gen 1:1-10, God had a situation and He needed change. He didn’t just watch the earth He created to go into disuse, He prayed and answered His prayers. He said let there be light and there was Light. God had to do something for dry ground to appear, Vs 9-10. You must do something for your latent glory to become patent, for your hidden glory to be made manifest.
To create the room of manifestation for yourself, you must raise an altar of PRAYER. God showed us an example of how you can change what you do not want to what you want on the altar of prayer. Every man is as strong as the altar he has raised.
What makes the altar of prayer very important?
1. It is a place of change of situation. When a man’s situation is unfavourable, change is inevitable. This is seen in the life of Jabez. Blind Bartimaeus is another example. Calling upon God brings about a change in the life of a man.
2. It is the place of supernatural involvement. Everyone wants supernatural involvement in their matter and this is why many people carry sacrifices to altars, from one junction to another. This is also seen of herbalist in suit or uniform. People seeking supernatural involvement have inadvertently employed the devil in the affairs of their lives. You can involve God in your matter. Isa 64:1, is prayer of involvement that God should come down and step in the affairs of his life. Paul and Silas raised an altar of prayers in Acts 16:25-26 and God stepped into their situation and turned out around. No matter how bad or terrible the situation maybe, you can also involve God in your matter and experience a supernatural dimension in your situation. When situations are good, maintain an altar of prayer, when they are not as desired, raise an altar of prayers. Things we anticipate and do not anticipate all happen in life but things become easy on the altar of prayers.

1. Father, let my things be easy and not difficult in life. Let my things succeed and not fail.
2. Father be involved with me in all I do.
