Topic: The Holy Spirit Advantage
Text: Luke 24:49
Jesus instructed the disciples not to go out without the Holy Spirit’s advantage. The Holy Spirit grants a believer the required advantage for greatness and glory.
How does the Holy Spirit give an advantage to a believer?
1. Impartation of boldness, confidence, and courage: In Acts 4:13, Peter was timid and denied Jesus before a maid but there was a difference when he encountered the Holy Spirit. God kept emphasizing the instruction of boldness and courage to Joshua after the demise of Moses because they were required for the task ahead of him. Boldness produces power, power enables results.
2. By revelation: The things of God cannot be explained, they must be revealed likewise the things that make for advancement, success, and progress, are hidden, a mystery, and must be unraveled. Mark 4:11, The Holy Spirit grants access to mysteries and access to mysteries gives mastery. God unfolds the mysteries of life, the Kingdom of God, and this world’s kingdoms. Daniel 2:19, a secret that made Daniel stand out was revealed to him in a night vision, Daniel 2:47, the king honored Daniel and glorified God.
3. By Divine Direction: the Holy Spirit guides and leads us away from troubles and disasters. Isaiah 58:11, The spirit of God is the Chief executor of the counsel, will, and programme of God, therefore, he orders our steps and gives us direction. This makes the believer stand out. Direction makes your journey faster because you know what to do.
Prayers
1. Father, impart me with the spirit of boldness, confidence, and courage
2. Father, open my eyes and grant me access to the mysteries of life, the kingdom of God, and this world’s kingdoms.
3. Spirit of God, guide and lead me, direct me, other my steps, words, and thoughts, and be glorified in my life.
