Text: Colossians 1:9-10
Paul interceded for the saints at Colosse. It is important to intercede for others, Job experienced a turnaround when he prayed for his friends. We often focus on ourselves hence we receive less from God. We have prayed much but received fewer results because they are self-centered prayers. It pays to be an intercessor. God takes an interest in your matter when you pray for others.
Paul prayed that God would grant the Colossians a wise mind. You need a wise mind to be able to glean from God and to navigate the affairs of this world. A wise mind is a basic requirement to thrive in this present time. He prayed for their spirit to be tuned to the will of God. The will of God guarantees the success of man. The will of God makes us prosperous. Jesus prayed for the will of God to be done even in pain. May your spirit be attuned to the will of God so that you acquire an understanding of His ways. You must acquire an understanding of the ways of God. Psalms 103:7, God showed Moses his ways but showed only his acts to the children of Israel. Those who will thrive must understand the ways of God to remain in the center of His will. You must be wise in mind for effective and accurate decisions that will make you advance in life and also make those around you advance.
Paul prayed that they walk worthy of the Lord, many are walking but not all are walking worthy unto pleasing God. Let your life and your ways please God. Eliminate everything that does not please God in your life so that you can be fruitful unto every good work.
Prayers
1. Father, give me a wise mind, let me operate in wisdom.
2. Father, let my spirit be attuned to your will, let me walk according to your will.
3. Father, give me an understanding of the way you walk in the name of Jesus.
4. Father, help me to walk worthy of you in all pleasing, and let me be fruitful in the name of Jesus.
