Topic: The Presence of God
Text: Acts 7:9-10
The beauty of the presence of God is demonstrated in the things he makes happen for us. Joseph was made Governor of Egypt because God’s presence was with him though hated by his brothers. A man who is a carrier of glory and a man with dreams will be envied by those around him. The level of hatred towards you does not matter, what matters is the presence of God in your life. You need the presence of God in your life to live successfully. The presence of God makes the difference.
What the presence of God makes happen.
1. Deliverance: God delivered Joseph from all the enemies put along his way to stop him from achieving his dreams. God delivered him from the pit to being sold and eventually imprisoned.
2. Favour: A man of glory must enjoy the favour of God. God’s favour will become evident in your life and give you the things you do not merit.
3. Wisdom: God gave Joseph wisdom in the presence of Pharoah, wisdom is needed to manage God’s favour. Lack of wisdom results in the loss of favour received. Wisdom is needed for every new level and new thing. Proverbs 4:7
4: God’s presence makes men, His presence with Joseph made him a Governor. God will make you. Matthew 4:19, Jesus promised to make his disciples fishers of men if they follow him. God will make you if you follow him.
Prayers
1. Father, deliver me out of every trouble that men may bring my way. Deliver me from the envy and hatred of people.
2. Father, let your presence deliver me from all my troubles, give me favour, wisdom to manage the favour and that your presence will make me.
3. Father, let me see the product of your favour and wisdom in my life in the name of Jesus.
