The Importance of the Word of God
The word of God prevents offenses from happenings around. Matthew 7:24-27, any life built on the word will be able to face the challenges and adversities of the present time. A man who builds his house on the rock (word) will stand firm in the midst of adversities. He will not crumble or crash. A man who does not place his gaze on the word of God fails and could get suicidal. Build your entire life and destiny on the word of God and not on happenings around you or the traditions of men. The word of God gives us sustenance.
If you build on the word, you will have great peace. Peace is very significant, it is one of the greatest factors for progress and advancement in life. It is a characteristic of the kingdom of God, Romans 14:17-18. You have peace when you stay on the word of God.
Peace is a state of settled assurance that God is in charge. Nothing under his control can ever be out of control. Peace is not an absence of challenges but calmness in the midst of challenges. Peace is not being moved by the circumstances of life. You are not moved by sight or hearing. Peace is being calm in the storms of life. You can also sleep in the storm like Jesus when you have peace. Peace is trusting God when you can’t trace God.
Prayers
1. Father, my eyes are upon you, upon your word, let my peace be great, let me not stumble, crumble or be offended.
2. Father, let my life, destiny and family stand firm in spite of the challenges of life. Let me thrive in challenges.
3. Father, make it evident upon my life and family that you’re in charge.
