Topic: The triumphant life
Text:2nd Sam 5: 10, 17-19
David went on and was great because of the anointing upon his life. An anointing came upon him for enthronement.1st Sam 16:13, He was first anointed by Prophet Samuel and it took 13 years before the 2nd anointing that took him to the Throne. He was a fugitive, running from one place to another because He was an emerging star.
David was a triumphant destiny. A triumphant life goes on, he makes progress in life and destiny. God’s presence in David’s life was responsible for his greatness. Man has a natural tendency to go ballistic and paranoid at the emergence of a rising star as in the case of David and Saul. Saul sought to take David’s life. Only a triumphant life gives a right hand of fellowship to a rising star. The Philistines also rose against David upon his enthronement as king
This was also exemplified in the life of Cain and Abel, the brothers of Joseph.
Be a triumphant life either you are the rising star or your friend is the rising star. A triumphant life is not threatened by the success of another star around him. Can you cope with the success of your friend/neighbour?
John 1:29-30. John the baptist is a typical example of a triumphant life. He was not threatened the success of Jesus. John 3:30, he put Jesus before himself. Be triumphant, rejoice with others,do not be mad or intimidated by the success of others.
A triumphant life extends a right hand of fellowship to emerging stars. Galatians 2:9.
Prayer Focus
• Father, I receive the grace not to be threatened by the success and progress of others around me. I receive the grace of a triumphant life to extend a hand of fellowship to rising stars around me
• Father give me the grace to recognize and celebrate grace around my life and destiny
• Father let my star rise and let me live triumphantly.
