Topic: Obtaining what God has given to us
Text: 2 Peter 2:1-4

Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

God has given us all things. To gain access to these things, we must have an understanding of certain truths.

God is a good God:  whoever will obtain anything from God must first understand that God is a good God. Psalm 73:1; Truly God is good to Israel, To such as are pure in heart.
This understanding will help you in whatever you go through in life. Understand that in challenging situations, in trouble of any kind, God is good. Let this sink into your spirit man and understand it with your subconscious that God is good.

God is a God of promise and fulfillment: anyone who will obtain anything from God must understand that He is a God of promises and fulfillment. He promises and makes His promises good. He is a God of performance. 2nd Chronicles 6:4; And he said: “Blessed be the Lord God of Israel, who has fulfilled with His hands what He spoke with His mouth to my father David, saying. God spoke with His mouth and performed it with His hands. Jeremiah 1:12; Then the Lord said to me, “You have seen well, for I am ready to perform My word.” God said He will hasten his word to perform it. You have been holding on to the word of God for a while now, I make bold to tell you that the season for the fulfillment of the word of the Lord is NOW. Every promise of God that appears to have been delayed in your life will speedily come to pass. The promises of God for your life will no longer be delayed. God will perform as He has promised.

God has given to us exceeding great and precious promises: His promises are sure from generation to generation. All you await is the manifestation. He has given already, not that He intends to give, He has given to us already. They will be fulfilled by the power and the grace of God at work in your life.

You must understand that you are a child of promise: Galatians 4:28; Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are children of promise. The promises of God for you will never fall to the ground. All will be fulfilled.

God’s promises never fail: 1 Kings 8:56; “Blessed be the Lord, who has given rest to His people Israel, according to all that He promised. There has not failed one word of all His good promise, which He promised through His servant Moses. God gave the children of Israel rest and assurance that His promises would come to pass and no word failed according to all the good promises He promised by the hand of Moses. Joshua 21:45; Not a word failed of any good thing which the Lord had spoken to the house of Israel. All came to pass. I love the emphasis that all came to pass. Everything may fail, not the promises of God. Heaven and earth may pass away but not a tittle or jot of God’s word will go unfulfilled.

God is unchanging and not susceptible to change. His promises for you will come to pass. Have this understanding, wait on God, wait on His promises, it will come to pass, it will not be delayed, Not anymore.
