Topic: God makes wars cease
Text: Psalm 46:9
Daniel 7:21-22. God makes wars to cease.
Progress is impossible when a man is faced with wars or battles in life. The energy, resources and materials a man should use to make progress are all deployed into battles and wars. Solomon reported how David could not build because he was faced with many wars. Progress may be a mirage until something happens to terminate the wars.
Battles we face in life
1. We face battles from the place of our birth. A man born in a place without meaningful progress, is expected to live in redundancy. I once counselled and prayed with a young man who once gained admission into one of the foremost universities in Nigeria. During the screening process, he was told his O level result was fake and he was denied admission. He tried again the following year. He passed JAMB and went for screening. He presented the same result and it was considered original. He was asked to withdraw from the school a year into the programme for whatever reason. During counselling, it was discovered that no one in his family had University education. I pray for you that you will break the limits and barriers of your father and mother’s house. The wars of your place of birth will be subdued totally and would have no effect over your life and destiny.
2. Battles from the place of upbringing: certain habits are cultivated from the place of our upbringing. For instance, I picked up smoking of cannabis from the place of my upbringing. The life of almost every young man in that environment was either ruined or almost ruined by cannabis. Where you’re brought up may be a place of war you must defeat. So many caught the bug of trends where they were brought up and this has reduced them. This also applies to where you work or do business. People fight you because you refuse to join them in doing evil and see you as a threat. They could go to any extent to take you out of the picture.
Prayer focus
1. Father, let all wars cease in my life and destiny
2. Declare, every power or force waging war against my destiny, be consumed by fire in the mighty name of Jesus
3. Father, let progress be easy and possible for me.
