Topic: Importance of Favour
Text: Ecclesiastes 9:11, 1 Samuel 16:10
1. The best is not always given to the best but to the favoured.
2. You cannot make it alone.
3. A man who lacks favour continues to labour.
4. You need Favour to get what you deserve and what you don’t deserve. David was given what he wasn’t qualified for. God’s favor qualified him. Favour does not choose the qualified, rather it qualifies the chosen.
5. Favour singles out a man for help/enthronement. Favour singled David, the man that was not nominated for help. Favor causes men to stand in your honour. Favour puts an end to contention and delivers the subject of the contention to you.
6. Favour is required for promotion and elevation. Psalm 75:6. Favour demotes one man only to promote the favoured. You need the favour of God and men, when God favours you, men have no option than to favour you as well.
7. Favour makes whatever you do prosper. Luke 12:16, the ground of the rich man yielded bountifully because it found the favour of God. Psalm 1:3, God’s favour makes a man get great results. Psalm 5:12
Prayers
1. Father, let your Favour single me out for help, promotion, elevation and gifts.
2. Father, let your favor give me the miracles and blessings I do not deserve.
3. Father, let my ground bring forth plentifully and let all I place my hands to do prosper.
4. I receive by faith the manifestation of the promise of pleasant surprises today in the name of Jesus.
