Topic: Dealing with Pursuers contd.
Text: 2nd Samuel 2:18-24

There was a long war between Saul’s house and David’s house. The battle was fierce against the house of Saul such that they fled before the army of David. Asahel pursued Abner (leader of Saul’s army) and refused to turn back. He was very swift. Asahel is whoever wants to exploit or afflict you with his gift or opportunity. Asahel had the intention to kill Abner through his gift and Abner warned him to turn back from following him. Asahel refused but he ended up paying with his life. Abner killed him. Asahel is anyone who wants to take glory in your life. Abner advised Asahel to turn back and kill a younger soldier if he wanted to enjoy glory but he was adamant. He wanted the armor of Abner. Anyone who wants to blow out your light so that he can shine is Asahel. They intend to leverage on your failure to shine. Abner eventually killed Asahel. Every Asahel that is using his opportunities against you shall lose it. Anyone who wants to put out your light so that they can shine in your stead will have their light snuffed out in the name of Jesus. Your pursuers will not catch up with you, if they do, the Lord will forbid them from harming you. Every stubborn pursuer of your life and destiny will be dealt with after the order of Asahel and Pharoah in the mighty name of Jesus. You will fulfill the program and purpose of God for your life.

Prayer Focus
1. Father, any man, woman, power, or force using their ability, position, or opportunity to fight me loses that ability, position, or opportunity in the name of Jesus.
2. Father, let all pursuers of my life and destiny fall, fail, and be destroyed after the order of Asahel and Pharoah at the Red Sea.
3. Father, do not deliver me to the enemy’s will. Everyone attempting to snuff out my light so that they can shine will be frustrated and destroyed in the name of Jesus
4. Father, shield and protect me and my interest from every pursuer.
5. Father, take me to the height of destiny that my pursuers do not want me to get to in the mighty name of Jesus.
