Topic: Profit to dead business
Text: Luke 5:1-7
Simon Peter’s business was dead, he toiled through the night which was the best time to catch fish. He toiled without recording profit. He gave up all hope but Jesus stepped in and His presence brought back Peter’s dead business to life.
Keys that bring back dead business to life.
1. The word of God. Although Simon was washing his net, he still have attention to the word of God. Jesus gave instructions which Simon Peter paid attention to. There is life in God’s word. The words of Jesus are quickening words, they are spirit and life.
2. Obedience: Peter listened to and obeyed the instruction to launch out into the deep though he had his reservations. God’s blessings do not come upon a man beyond his last act of obedience. If you want to see results you must obey the instructions God has given to you. Simon Peter was positive in his approach and attitude to the instructions of Jesus.
The presence of Jesus is the best key to bring back dead businesses to life and this morning, His presence will bring back your dead business to life. He is bringing profit to your dead business. The result of Simon’s obedience was a net breaking catch that made him signal to his colleagues. They had such a great catch that the boat began to sink. Ezekiel 2:2, the Spirit of profit is entering into your hands causing you to prosper this week and you will see a sign.
Prayer Focus
Let the life/breath of God enter into my business enter into my hands/business this week and beyond
I command everything dead in my business to come back to life.
My business, Receive the life of God and record profit this week in the mighty name of Jesus
Empower my hands for profit and prosperity.
Father, give me a blessing/miracle I cannot finish alone.
