Topic: David’s Five Killer Stones
Text: Samuel 17:40, 45 KJV
David chose five stones to kill Goliath. He used one out of the five and the one He used was the name of the Lord. If you must defeat the Goliath of your life, you must have faith in the name of Jesus. God gave Jesus the name and Jesus bequeathed his name on us with the backing that whatever we request in His name will be granted by heaven. Demons tremble at the name of Jesus, sicknesses bow in the name of Jesus. Prayers are answered in the name of Jesus. The name may not work in the mouth of a man who is not connected with Christ Jesus. Acts 19:14-16, the seven sons of Sceva tried to use the name of Jesus but it failed on their lips because there was no connection to the owner of the name. Your connection to God through Christ Jesus makes the name of Jesus potent on your lips. Other killer stones available to believers include;
The word of God: Ephesians 6:17, The only weapon of warfare listed in this armoury is the sword of the spirit which is the word of God. Prayers will produce no impact if it is not backed up by the word. An effective prayer must be word-based. You must be very careful of attending meetings where miracles happen without the word of God. Miracles of God follow the preaching and teaching of the word. Luke 5:17, God’s power was present to work great wonders and great miracles after the word was taught. The word of God is the conveyor of miracles. The word of the Lord carries great power in your mouth. Joshua 1:8. The word of God creates and recreates. It is the power of God.
Your faith in God and His word: Hebrews 11:32-34
The army of the aliens could not withstand the faith with which the men listed in the scripture above approached their battles and challenges. These men went to battle by faith and faith gave them victory. They subdued kingdoms by their strong faith. Approach your battles with faith and watch God deliver victory into your hands.
Your prayer and confession: Ephesians 6:18 In your prayer, you must confess the word of God. Mark 11:23, your confession must be positive if you must defeat your enemy. What do you say about your situation? Your words can bring you victory or defeat. God is committed to carrying out the confession of your mouth made in faith.
Declaration
Lift your right hand and make this declaration loud and bold:
I stand on the authority in the name of Jesus, I declare total victory over every challenge and enemies of my life and destiny. I am victorious in the name of Jesus, I overcome the challenges of life in the name of Jesus. The name of the Lord is a strong tower, I run into that name, I am safe and victorious. The word of God will produce great wonders in my life, and the word of God will produce great results in my life. I overcome the challenges of life by the word, I’m healed and made whole by the word. The word of God carries power on my lips, it flows from my heart with power in the name of Jesus. The words of Jesus to me are spirit and they are life. These words will not depart out of my life. The word will produce a victory for me when I speak. Every situation I speak the word of God to obey. The authority of the word works wonders for me and God’s name will be glorified. My faith in Christ Jesus is strong, I am an overcomer by faith, I subdue kingdoms by faith, I put to flight the armies of the aliens by faith, I obtain promises by faith, my faith produces results, I speak to mountains by faith and the mountains move. I will declare the word by faith and it shall be as I have said. As I bend my knees to pray, my prayers will be heard from heaven and answers of peace will come. I am an overcomer. I take these killer stones and I overcome the enemy of my life and destiny and the enemy of my progress. After the order of David, I bring down every Goliath, I overcome every Saul of my destiny and I arrive at my throne in destiny. So shall it be in Jesus’ precious name. Amen.
