Topic: The Defended Glory
Text: Proverbs 18:10

Glory can only be defended in the name of the Lord. A glory not defended will be aborted and terminated. There are predators and enemies of your glory out there who do not want the glory of God upon you to be made manifest, your glory must be defended from such individuals. Psalm 20:1, Our defence in the Lord our God.

Characteristics of a defended glory

  1. A defended glory cannot be stripped: Job 19:9, Job’s glory was stripped when the Lord removed the defence upon Job and allowed the enemy to tamper with his destiny. You will not be stripped of your glory and the crown will not be taken off your head. God prevents the enemy from stripping a defended glory.
  2. Every plot to hurt a defended glory ultimately helps him: whatever evil done to a defended glory turns out to be a source of help to him. When he stands before stumbling blocks, they become stepping stones to his breakthrough/destiny. Genesis 50:20. The brothers of Joseph plotted evil against him, they did not want to see the rising of his glory and did not want to see his star shine, but every plot against him helped him ultimately. He was sold to the Egyptians without knowing that Egypt was the place where his dreams should find expression. They indirectly helped his dream to be fulfilled. Joseph had no idea that the conspiracy of Potiphar’s wife that landed him in prison would eventually lead him to greatness, He had no idea that he would meet the butler whose dream he interpreted, who in turn mentioned him to Pharoah. All things work together for the good of a defended glory.
  3. A defended glory prospers in adversity: Exodus 1:12, the children of Israel multiplied and grew with an increase in affliction. This grieved the Egyptians. A defended glory prospers and thrives in adverse conditions. What is the adverse situation of your life at the moment? You will prosper despite the adversity if your glory is defended.
  4. A defended glory cannot be aborted, stolen, or exchanged: There’s a possibility for the enemy to exchange, steal or plunder the glory of a man. This can only happen when the glory is not defended. 1st Kings 3:17-21, the woman who slept over her baby exchanged her dead child for the living baby of the other woman. The exchange was possible because the owner of the living child did not protect or defend her child due to excessive sleep. Her child was restored to her because she found defence in the wisdom of King Solomon.

Prayer Focus

  1. Father, Defend my glory, let me not be stripped of my glory.
  2. Father, Let every plot to harm my destiny ultimately help me. Everything meant for evil against me will turn to my advantage.
  3. Father, in the adverse situation and economy of this present time, let my destiny prosper, let my life prosper.
  4. My glory is defended, therefore, it cannot be aborted, stolen, and exchanged in the name of Jesus, Amen.
